FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • You may have seen videos of people experiencing a Spinal Energetics session, where their bodies move in various ways. Every person’s experience is unique.

Some people may not move at all, others may take a few sessions to open up to the practice, and others move freely from the start. There’s no right or wrong way to be during a session.

Your experience can also vary from session to session, depending on your sleep, mood, energy levels, and emotions on the day. I’ll meet you where you’re at and work with you moment to moment during each session.

  • Spinal Energetics is not a “quick fix.” Just as building muscle takes more than one gym session, releasing a lifetime of stored emotions and traumas takes time and commitment. Most people start to see improvements after 3-5 sessions, usually spaced about two weeks apart. That said, each session helps strengthen your mind-body connection, and many feel the benefits from the start.

  • I recommend starting with at least 3 sessions. This gives you time to adjust to the treatment and for the treatments to be of the most benefit and value to your well-being.

  • This will vary for each person. Initially having sessions closer together can help you build a strong mind-body connection. Once that foundation is in place, I’ll encourage you to trust your body – it will naturally guide you to know when you need more support. For example, you might feel the need for a session when you’re stressed, feeling stuck, or simply in need of realignment.

  • Everyone’s response to the treatment is unique. Some people move a little, others move more freely from the start. For some, it takes months or even years to fully open up, and others never move at all.

It’s important to remember that the amount of movement doesn’t determine the depth or benefits of the session. You’ll receive what your body needs, regardless of how much you move.

  • Yes. At the start of each session, we’ll chat about how you’re feeling and what you hope to achieve. Together, we’ll tailor each session to your needs.

From my experience, though, sessions that integrate different modalities tend to be the most powerful and effective. However, it’s always about what works best for you in the moment.

  • Experiences are as unique as each individual.

    Common responses may include:

    •  Emotional release: laughter, crying.

    •  Energetic sensations: heat, cold, tingling, twitching.

    •  Spontaneous movements: stretching, shaking, yoga-like poses.

    •  Vocal release.

    •  Visuals.

    •  Resistance.

    •  A sense of calm, peace, or sleep.

If you’re new to energy work, it may take a few sessions to truly feel and connect with your body. Regular sessions, along with breathwork, yoga, and other practices, can help deepen your mind-body connection.

  • Yes. Online sessions are just as effective as in person sessions and can even feel more powerful, as we work directly with the energetic field. While some people prefer being physically present with their practitioner, others find they feel more comfortable and secure in their own environment. Both options provide profound healing experiences; choose the setting that feels best for you.

  • Group Spinal Energetics and breathwork sessions create a powerful space for healing, where the collective energy enhances each person’s individual experience. Being in a group allows you to benefit from the shared energy, which can amplify your healing, foster a sense of community, and offer mutual support. It’s also a great way to connect with others who are on similar journeys.

  • Wear something breathable, comfortable, and easy to move in. The most important thing is that you feel at ease during the session.

  • In between sessions I’ll support you to work with your breath and guide you through a variety of breathwork and meditation practices tailored to your lifestyle. I find that journaling and taking notes about what comes up between sessions can be a powerful way to deepen your integration and reflect on your journey.

  • After each session, it’s important to hydrate well, eat nourishing food and if you can, spend time in nature. Give your body the rest it needs and consider practicing yin yoga or mindfulness. These simple practices will support your integration and help you get the most from your sessions.
